By Road GPS Co-Ordinates For those of you with GPS in your car "Le Moulin de Payrot", Aujols is marked in many of the best selling systems. If it isn't marked, then our co-ordinates are: E 1° 32' 34"
N 44° 24' 17"

The A20 Cahors North/South is now open, it will provide direct access to Cahors and the Lot from Paris and many of the eastern Channel ports by autoroute. Already complete from its junction with the A71 at Vierzon, south of Orleans to Souillac on the northern border of the Lot, when the final leg to Montauban, south of Cahors – always very congested and time-consuming in the summer – is complete, the journey to Cahors from say Calais, should be possible in under nine hours. Easier access is bound to increase the popularity of the Lot still further.
By TrainRail access save in one respect is not good. Journeys from London have to be made via Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord and involve a change of station to Gare Austerlitz and an onward journey of around six hours. However, if you want to take your own car with you to France, Rail Europe operates a Motorail service between Calais and nearby Brive (60km/38 miles from Souillac and 95km/60 miles from Cahors). The Motorail train leaves Calais in the evening and arrives in Brive early next morning, saving a couple of days traveling on a return trip and avoiding the long drive with its associated costs. Call Rail Europe on 0990 848848.
